How AppSniff Works
I built AppSniff to make it easy to find iOS apps on any device — because Apple makes that a pain. Here's how it works:
- You enter a search query in the search box
- Your search query is sent directly to Apple's public iTunes Search API
- Apple returns app information which I display to you
- All searches are processed in real-time and not stored
I act as a simple interface between you and Apple's public API. No personal data is collected or stored during this process.
Technical Information
AppSniff operates with complete privacy:

AppSniff uses the following external services:
Apple iTunes Search API
I use Apple's public iTunes Search API to retrieve app information. Your search queries are sent directly to Apple. Please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how Apple handles data.
Data Security

- • My hosting infrastructure follows industry-standard security practices
- • Since I don't collect personal data, there's minimal risk of data breaches affecting you personally
